- Material: AlMgSi0.5
- Material number: according to EN AW-6060
- Delivery condition: T66
- Surface: silver anodised E6/EV1
E6: chemically pre-treated, anodised and compacted. A matt surface is produced.
EV1 is a standard process for anodising, whereby a silver-coloured natural anodised layer is produced.
- Surface thickness: 10-15 my
- Manufacturing process: pressed
- Standard: EN 573-3, 755/-1/-2/-8
We would like to point out that during the anodising of aluminium, suspension marks (contact points) may occur due to the production process. These occur due to the process in which the parts have to be fixed in special fixtures during processing. These do not affect the quality or functionality of the parts, but are visible.
In addition, scoring, scratches etc. in the raw product cannot be completely covered by anodising and may also remain visible.
The sawn edges are not anodised, unfinished and not deburred.
Product properties:
- Low density
- Can be anodised very well
- Optimally suited for powder coating
- Very good corrosion resistance
- Smooth surface
- low dimensional tolerances
- good machinability
- cannot be magnetised
- Can be decoratively anodised very well
- good weldability and solderability
- Suitable for use in the food sector in accordance with EN 602
Aluminium rectangular tubes are suitable for a wide range of practical solutions. They are stable and torsion-resistant and are used by the automotive industry as well as aircraft manufacturers. The easy-to-handle rectangular tubes are also used for smaller constructions in model making and in the manufacture of balcony railings, stairs, tables, chairs and much more.
There is a wide selection of different widths in our shop and with the exact length cut to size, you can easily find the ideal product for you. If you require a dimension outside our stock range, we look forward to receiving your enquiry.
Note: This information only applies if you have selected the powder coating option in the configurator when placing your order.

Powder-coated aluminium rectangular tubes - ideal protection and aesthetics
Powder-coated aluminium rectangular tubes offer a high-quality protective coating and a smooth, even surface that is ideal for demanding applications. Powder coating makes these rectangular tubes particularly durable, offering both high corrosion resistance and an aesthetically pleasing finish that is ideal for construction projects, the automotive industry and decorative applications. We offer a wide range of powder-coated, anodised and bright aluminium rectangular tubes in various sizes and dimensions. If special powder coating requirements or specific dimensions are needed, we will be happy to assist you in selecting the right product.
Please note: The surface quality and colour of our powder-coated aluminium rectangular tubes may vary slightly depending on the production process. Colour deviations also depend on the monitor and graphic settings.
Layer formation during powder coating
In powder coating technology, a high-voltage cascade in the gun body generates high voltage at the nozzle tip (electrode), which builds up an electric field between the earthed workpiece and the electrode and charges the paint particles negatively. These particles are finely distributed in a uniform spray cloud by mutual repulsion and are deposited over a large area on the surface of the aluminium rectangular tubes. Thanks to the electrical charge, excess powder remains in the field and ensures a uniform coating. A thicker layer often forms on the edges - the so-called picture frame effect - which is advantageous for corrosion protection, but may require reworking in the case of tight fits.
Powder coating - quality requirements
When testing the quality of powder-coated aluminium rectangular tubes, the coated surface must not show any blisters, craters, pinholes or scratches at a distance of 3 metres (for indoor applications) or 5 metres (for outdoor applications) under normal visual conditions. The coating should be free from damage that penetrates the metal. Any material deviations caused by the pressing process in the primary material have no influence on the quality of the powder-coated surface and are therefore excluded from the quality assessment.
Please note that the ordered product may differ from the product images in terms of the surface finish due to different production batches. The same applies to colours, which are displayed differently depending on the monitor and graphics card.
