The push-fit fittings are very popular with DIY enthusiasts, hobby craftsmen and metalworkers with and without welding experience.
The push-fit system makes installation very easy and saves a great deal of time, as no welding work or subsequent pickling and grinding is required. You can simply cut the pipes to length in advance, then insert the fittings and hold them in place. If everything fits, you simply need to degrease the fittings, glue them and fix them in place if necessary.
